Panel 1
Ren runs down the cobblestone path on her way to school, she is dressed fancy and is mid-leap, holding her sword and swinging it in the air. There are some onlookers on the street staring at her in confusion and surprise. Ren has a big smile, genuine and excited.
REN: This is incredible! I feel powerful. I’ve been chosen.
Panel 2
Ren swings her sword through the air and into a businessman on the street. The sword swipes right through the man who looks shocked but not injured. Ren’s sword has a transparent effect, showing that these swords phase right through mortals unlike the magic sparkle effect it would have on a Conjurer. Caliburn appears in front of her.
CALIBURN: Be careful, Ren.
REN: Why? It’s not like my sword can affect mortals.
REN: A Conjurer’s blade is no threat to them, right?
CALIBURN: That is true, but…
Panel 3
Ren suddenly skids to a halt, her leaps and running cease but it is too late, she has already made an impact. Ren’s sword flies out of her hands, flipping into the air. Her sword glows in the air and begins to disappear. Ren crashes into a person who is mostly obscured by her.
SFX: THUD!
